The RSF Academy is the place where our members are trained and tested.
Rank tests are one of three possible ways to advance in rank. In a rank test, a candidate is checked for certain
elements of a game such as skill and experience by a trainer. If the candidate fulfills the requirements of the
test, i.e. he passes it, he is promoted to the next higher rank.
To find out more about the other ways to get promoted and to learn more about our rank system please refere to
the Rank System page.

Each game within RSF has its own testsystem.

- Please read this page and the page of your sub-division's academy carefully.
- On your sub-division's academy page search for the description of the test you need to complete.
Since you should be prepared for each test please train for your test according to the test description.
You can do this by playing in single player mode, by playing with other members of RSF or by asking a
trainer, whether he can give you a personal training for the test.
- Once you feel prepared please ask for a test date on the academy message board. Please note that Basic Tests
may also be given by your Squadron/Unit Leader.
- Some tests require permissions. Please ask for them on the academy message board as well.
- Meet your trainer at the given date and time and do your best :-)

|
- As a new recruit you may request the Basic I test right away. You do not need to wait to do it.
- After the test the trainer is to post the name of the candidate, the test and the result on the academy message board.
- In addition, the trainer is to submit a test report to the RSF Academy by using the RSF Academy Mailing List
academy@rebelspecialforces.org.
A RSF High Commander will then update the candidate's rank as soon as possible.
- Tests can only be done step by step (Recruit - Cadet 4th - etc...)
- You have to have a different trainer as your previous trainer for each passed test!
- Please be prepared for each test!
- Academy trainers will be tested by a higher ranked academy trainer.
- Only Squad/Unit Leaders (SLs/ULs) and their assistants (SLAs/ULAs) may be tested for the rank of LT.Commander.
- If you have failed a test, you may re-try it at the earliest 24 hours later.
- Being in a unit is only needed when a member wishs to take a test that needs UL/a permission or above.
- Be sure you have the required pins of participation for the test you want to take.
- Be also sure you hold your rank the required time before taking the next test.
